thursday loven

I did buy an easel a 20.00 one that sits on a table. Its made from the bob ross company I do not know why I didnt take a pic of it. Its fabulous. I dont want a stand up easel anymore. what a difference it makes. If you dont have an easel get one. Cause we may all die tomorrow, right?

sorry Ive been pissy but, you know.

Im sending samples off to a publisher and hopefully they will love me and want my book. I cant show you anything but you can wish with me right? Wish I wish I wish I wish I could pub a great book then go on a book tour and make out with 100 goddesses. good right? ha. Or maybe just one fish boy. I haven't made up my mind yet.

Pooh is eating fancy feast but only certain ones he likes. like turkey. I must go out and get him more. I hAte going out this late at night because its cold.

Here is another dog video. None of the animals in these videos are mine - youll know it when I get my dog. I cant afford the french bulldog, its nearly 3,000 dollars did you know that! I am more than likely going to save a little white mutt from its untimely end.

I saw a cool one at Ocean State Job Lot (New England) and their was a really nice table top one for 20 bucks. I've been making excuses of why I shouldn't get one but I say the heck with it and I'm going to buy it. (Then, I'm going to turn around and buy my daughter a stand up one just because.)

Is this a Children's book? I am in the middle of doing the illustrations for mine right now. Do you know about SCBWI Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators. I am going to a conference in Western Wasington. They have them all over the USA. http://guest.cvent.com/EVENTS/Info/Summary.
aspx?e=98a57baf-1cc1-4fab-9220-946c35b5e991 I went last year. You meet so many of the Editors and Art Directors.
I took a class in Children illustration for 6 weeks from Lee White. He has published 12 books. He went to all the Art Directors with his work in NY last year. He told us how you can take your portfolio into NY and make appointments with the large Publishing houses Art directors. They are very nice. You leave your Portfolio for the Day or over night and pick it up the next day.
Have you done that before? Your so near NY aren't you? I think you could get work that way if you want. But you may just want to be a Author Illustrator. But it is still may worth making the contacts while you are in the North East. They are like everyone else they like to meet you in person. It is about relationship and love and respect. That is why the conference's are so good. They get to know you or at least realize you are serious.
Either way even if you just send it in I am sure your work will be loved like we all love your Art Suzi!!!

Blessings on your book. I can't wait to have a Suzi blu book.

One of my friends who I love is "Jamie Zollars" She has illustrated several Children's books and done covers and commercial work. She has girls that I think you would like in her work. She is very sweet and helpful. I have a link to her on my blog. You might like her work too!

I have spent many an hour over the last few weeks looking at blogs and was thinking last night how yours is quite exceptionally addictive! There are others with video blogs and others with art and even others with intereting lessons...but yours has a charm quite entirely of it's own.
Any publisher would be lucky to have you in their catologue.
I look forward to holding your (signed!) book and sharing it with everyone.

Oh Suzi, I know you will find a beautiful little soul at a shelter or pound and give it so much nurturing love and affection... who needs some overpriced purebred dog when you can have the love of a grateful and deserving little mutt.

You should check out this blog: http://aplacetobark.blogspot.com/

You may just find true love there!

Oh and by the way... I LOVE Bob Ross. His voice soothes me.

Best of luck with your book!!!

I wish you all the best with your book and I'll keep all my fingers crossed! (apart from the two I keep my paintbrush in *^v^*).
Sorry to hear that the French bulldogs are so expensive in the US, my mom has one and she was selling the puppies for more than ten times less...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you for the book. I am SURE it is absolutely great and they will see that too! I have this book about creative journalling (it's called Artist's Journals & Sketchbooks by Lynne Perella) but to be honest I find your art and techniques much more inspiring.

Goddesses all over the world are praying you get the book deal NOW. LOL And one fishboy, I'm sure, is on his fishy knees. :) Good luck! My son is making an easel for me with a piece of plexiglass across and a light behind so that I can trace patterns for my stitcheries and stuff. It's a Christmas present but he's still working on it. :) That's ok..he gave me three moleskines to keep me happy until he's done. ha!

It's ok to get pissy; and sometimes pissy is easier to deal with than just sad.

Hi Suzi, Good luck with the publishing, tho I am sure they will SNAP YOU UP!!!!
SAd that pooh is not well, but glad that he has someone who loves him so much looking after him. May goddesses rain upon you, as fish boy serendes you with his wonderful poetry. (the best of both worlds! Right?)
Pissy is ok, but happy is better.

Here's hoping you get published and when you do, you know the book will have to come with a CD with at least one of your videos in it, don't you? Yes, it's a must, because your videos are great and must be shared with everyone. :)

Life is too short - get the table top. I love mine (have 3).
It is the bomb.
