Suzi it worked just fine for me also. I just love you!! I have done art everyday since I started reading your blog and watching your videos. You inspire me!!!!

It ran great for me. Hey I really thought you were like 20, you look very young, not that 40 is old, I am past 40 and I am not old..Now a couple of questions.
Do you always start your faces with pencil crayon
What were those crayons that you showed us
And what was in that bottle.

Stellan said...

the video is much clearer on this site. It ran fine for me as well.

Thanks for posting this. It is clearer on this site, than YouTube. Ran smooth until about halfway (on this site), then it stopped briefly a few times. Could be because so many people are trying to watch at the same time (exceeding bandwith), or the file size (image quality) is larger than your other videos - don't know why.
Take care of yourself and Pooh!

Also, the viewing screen that YouTube uses is larger than the player's screen on this site - that could account for the blurriness.

First of all, you are NOT 40! I thought you were like 26-29. 40?! NO way. I don't believe it. You're making it up so that we'll all tell you how fabulous you look (and you do!).
As for the video, I thought the visual quality was better but the sound went a bit dodgy for me - quite jumpy (like a scratched cd, know what I mean?).
Suzi, I want to find out more about using beeswax on art - it's a completely new concept for me. Would you do a 'how to' vlog on beeswax pleeeeease?
Love your vlogs and love you Suzi. (I can't believe you tried to fool us into thinking that you're 40 - LIES!)

It worked just fine for me. Perfecto mundo! Blessings, Olivia

It played all the way through but it skipped every now and then. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this mess. I know how frustrating it can be when something is supposed to work and it just DOESN'T! The skipping wasn't very noticeable, but it was there.

Paulette Insall said...

This one is much, much clearer Sue. Probably has alot to do with how YouTube converts our videos. I've done lots of research and reading on the subject and their processing makes our videos blurry. And if you have alot of motion or a busy background, that will contribute to it as well.

My videos are so much clearer when I run them straight off my Mac...even the compressed ones for YouTube. It's so frustrating!

Here's a link to some info I found just now on the subject...very enlightening! :) Hang in there girlie! We'll get it figured out! (((hugs)))

YouTube and the Flash video format

Great video! I loved it!

It does seem more clear than the ones on YouTube. Maybe Mac + Youtube is not a great combination. I must say, though, I don't mind the lesser quality of the video on youtube. I probably wouldnt even have noticed if you hadnt mentioned it. It's probably like when you're giving like a piano recital and you think everyone notices you made a tun of mistakes, but in reality only you did.

Anyways, very inspirational video. I might show it to my mom. She needs a reminder. I think I'll cut the thing about you being 40 out, though. That'll only depress her, that you look like a 26-yr-old and she doesnt ;-)

Take care, thank you so much for sharing.

suzi, it ran fine for me, a little skipping at first as it downloaded onto my computer. I second what Paulette says, my videos can be sharp and clear on my computer but when loaded to youtube... not so much quality.

sound, picture quality, everything - perfect for me! much clearer, too.
You are so right with the 'never too late' thing, suzi. and you are the most youthful 40 year-old EVER!
Hang on in there, suzi, and remember that none of us are expecting perfection from you! You are inspiring, exactly as you are - however clear or otherwise your videos may be.

Love & hugs for you & pooh xXx

Joanne said...

Hi suzi....it worked great for me - no problems....I love watching you work - what a talent!

Brahdelt said...

Sometimes I think we all should have "It's not too late!" tattooed on our foreheads and see it every morning in the bathroom mirror while brushing the teeth... It's so easy to give up to this idea, thank you for reminding us that there is everything still ahead of us! Love! *^v^*

Cynthia said...

This played fine for me, beautiful and clear. Much better than the You Tube for me.

I need to be reminded all the time that it is never too late. This art journey didn't start for me until I was 42, older than you are now. It seems like a daily fight to get in here and create and lately, I am just stuck, Stuck, STUCK. NO inspiration. I just stare at the page and do nothing ... no writing, no drawing, no painting. I don't know what to do.

Maybe it is just the holidays and I will break through after the first of the year.

Pippa,
I learned it from the book COLLAGE DISCOVERY by claudine hellmuth. Its a really great book.

I will do something about it though.

Hi Suzi,

I loooove this video (as I do love all your other videos)!! Unfortunately for me it won't play from your website at all (which is very likely a problem on my side!!) - so would you mind continuing to post your videos on youtube as well (for me the quality on youtube is just fine - and it would be devastating for me, if I couldn't see your vlog any longer!!!!) Thanks so much - you are THE MUSE!!

kelly said...

Hey Sue the video ran good for me once I got past the first few seconds.
I have a question, when I draw something in pencil it gets all smudged when I begin to paint over it . Is that normal for you, because I don't see it on your beautiful works.
Thank you for your videos Suzi, you're the best.

diddley said...

You are an inspiration Suzi Blu! Thanks for another great video. And yes! Another big vote for a bit of a how-to on beeswax... looks facinating. Does it cloud with age, or stay clear? Does it break if the page gets bent a bit? Do you need to get a certain kind/brand?
Thank you for sharing your art with all of us... you are much appreciated! :)

Steph said...

Bonjour Suzi ;) ! It ran perfect for me ! The quality of the image is amazing!

It doesn't work for me. It stops every two seconds !!!
Oooohhh that's too bad because I love what you're doing and I enjoy looking at your videos...
What's a pity...

I'm in France (and all around the world doing travel sketchbooks), may be this is one of the reasons...

The video worked fine for me. And it's very clear, very nice!
So you are 40? You don't look like it... I am turning 40 next year, and after watching you I feel MUCH MUCH better! haha And inspired too. I am FINALLY starting to do what I always wanted: ART. No more excuses for me, and specially no more thinking "it's too late" because it's really not.
Some people I know always said "life starts at 40" and God, they were right!!
Congratulations and thanks for being there doing what you are doing. Take care!

greetings!!

this worked perfect for me. you made me laugh..."im suppose to be breeding and baking pies...."

i have a book by claudine smith... i want to learn more on using beeswax too. the walnut oil, i have never seen that, it looked so great!! i love how you use both colored pencils and paint and layer after layer etc. THERE ARE NO RULES--RIGHT?@! i have to keep reminding myself of that.

have a fabulous day with your kitty.

It plays on a PC in a Mozilla Firefox browser. But this sites server is probably not feeding the stream fast enough so it keeps pausing. This happens quite a lot on youtube due to the high demand on their servers.I find the best solution is to download the video from youtube and then play it without pauses in "GOM Media Player" (free from download.com) which can play most flash video files (.flv).You can also find good FREE download software at
www.any-video-converter.com
NB don't try to download from suzi's channel home page.
Hope this helps.

Ps love your videos and you just can't be 40!

Suzi, I can't believe you are 40! When I first started watching your vlogs and you were talking about graduating I thought you were maybe 23 or 24. Then I saw your video with your report card (2nd grade-1974) and realized you're only a few years younger than me! Wow is all I can say!

suzi blu said...

I only mentioned my age just to add a bit of credibility to the madness. It is one thing to give it all up to do what you love if you are 19, quite another if yr over 35. and I think its important, our ideas about women. womyn. Its kind of like arm pit hair. although I am very fond of the razor I understand the question posed as to why why why we must shave when boys dont? why must we wear bras and cover our nippies when you can see a boys nippies (especially on a cold day) right thru his shirt. but its obscene when we do it.

suzi blu said...

I say this because even tho I love to shave I really dont like to wear bras. maybe because Ive never owned one that fit and was comfortable. and dOnt bring up sports bras. they are ridiculous and I cannot breathe in them.

Marie said...

oh NO I only got half way then it stopper.
You are not 40, are you? if you are girl you look fab.

Suzi,
Try downloading mpegstreamclip. I use a mac and have ran into problems with my video. You can get mpegstreamclip here:

http://www.squared5.com/

You can even download youtube videos to your hard drive with this free software. Maybe you could try converting your video to avi files and then upload to youtube. The only thing is you can't view avi files on the mac, only on pc but once it is up on youtube you can view it. I hope this helps. :)

Oh and you don't look or act 40. When I started watching your videos I thought you were twenty something and then I saw your 2nd grade picture in 1974.

Babytreese said...

It worked fine sweetie...great video! If I can start makin' art (thanks to your motivation) at 51..nobody better say "I CAN'T!" EVER!!!!!! ;=) *hugs*

Amber said...

I don't have sound right now on my computer, so i couldn't listen to it, but it LOOKED great! Very sharp! I'm looking forward to getting sound again, so i can listen to it!

BUT, there wasn't any sort of Imbed code or url to save it. I really like that option. Or have i missed it somewhere?

The second YouTube one, definitely did look blurrier. But of course, it could be saved.

Both played perfectly (minus the sound, obviously) for me!

suze said...

I can watch this video but not the second one. I tried it on YouTube also and it would start and stop and never get going.
But I want to see it!!

Suzi suzi suzi you are sooo adorable and inspiring and wise. And now you are forty on top of that?!! I had no idea - I assumed you were 21-ish. And that means so much, tho I guess it shouldn't - that you are actually forty. I am 52 and my life is just getting started!! Woo hoo... hang on for the ride! P.S. Poopie IS the cutest meatloaf!! Thanks for sharing yourself with us!! Oh, yes, the video was a little jumpy in a few spots but not terribly.

Worked fine here also.

When I was a kid I loved Ketchup on my meatloaf.

I watched it and it looks fine on my end. I'm you can do it because I know I'll one day see you work in a major museum! Yes I know I will! I just turned 42!

Yep, worked fine for me too, the sound was a bit bumpy some times but otherwise, just fine! And love to see you make art and slowly finding out how you do some stuff!

The video worked just fine for me. I love how you blend your different mediums to make those faces and everything just pop. Please, please, please give tips on a vlog for that, I would love to learn from you.
